Faith, Hope and Love
(1 Corinthians 13 and 14)
We have faith You’ve planted in us,
Faith to walk Your holy way.
Help us trust Your loving-kindness,
Grant us greater faith we pray.
For the faith that can move mountains
Of division, deep and wide;
Jesus reconcile Your people
As Your glorious, faithful bride.
We have hope of life eternal,
Hope of Paradise regained,
Knowing Christ, our Lord and Saviour,
Freedom from all sin and stain.
Hope that does not disappoint us,
Safe from condemnation’s lies,
We can live in Your safe keeping,
Then at last with You we’ll rise.
You have set love’s great example,
Dying so that we are free.
Help us love each other dearly,
Christ in all His body see.
Love that casts no accusations,
Love that conquers every fear,
Love that binds us all together
That we might see Heaven here.
So equipped by faith and power,
Let us serve each other well,
And with hope to shed the darkness,
To undo the works of Hell.
Let us use the gifts You’ve given
To build up Your body here,
Driven by love for one another
Holding each one ever dear.
